MU Men Hosting King's in Freedom Semi's

The Misericordia University men's soccer team will make its fifth consecutive Freedom Conference championships appearance when the Cougars host King's in the semifinals, Friday, November 2 at 4:00 PM at Mangelsdorf Field.

Misericordia, the defending Freedom champion, is 11-6-2 overall and seeded second after finishing in the Freedom during the regular season.

King's is seeded third after finishing 10-5-2 overall and 4-2-1 in the Freedom, including a 2-1 loss at Misericordia last weekend.

Top-seeded Manhattanville will host FDU-Florham in the other semifinal with the winners meeting in the Freedom championship at the site of the highest remaining seed, Sunday.

Misericordia is led by senior Andy Bush (13g, 3a) who has 29 points and is Misericordia's all-time leading scorer.

Nick vonEgypt (4g, 4a) has 12 points and Rob Wiacek (2g, 4a) adds eight points.

Dan Pinto has three goals and Eric Kishbaugh has a goal and is tied for the team lead with four assists.

Billy Sopko is 5-1-1 with two shutouts in goal and a 0.82 goal against average.

Daniel Hernandez (7g, 4a) leads the Monarchs with 18 points while Chris Nygren (8g, 1a) and David Stroh (6g, 5a) both have 17 points.

Kevin Buchanan (3g, 6a) adds 12 points.

In goal, Mark Labbadia is 8-4-2 with three shutouts and a 1.17 goals against average.
