Jesse Robinson had a double-double as the Misericordia University women's basketball team moved closer to securing a first-round home playoff game with a 62-55 win at Delaware Valley, Saturday.
Robinson had a game-high 20 points and added 10 rebounds as the Cougars improved to 14-9 and 9-3 in the Freedom.
Christine Marks had 15 points in just 25 minutes and
Tyann McDaniel added 10 points.
Tied 51-51 with 2:57 to play, Marks put the Cougars ahead with a free throw and scored seven of MU's final 11 points down the stretch.
Marks added two more free throws and a pair of layups to give MU a 58-53 lead with less than a minute to play.
McDaniel stretched the lead to seven, 60-53, with a pair of free throws with 44 seconds remaining and Robinson added two more foul shots to secure the win.
Misericordia led by as many as seven, 24-17, in the first half, but the Aggies closed the half on an 18-7 run to take a 35-31 halftime lead.
The Cougars will host King's in their regular season home finale, Tuesday at 6:00.
