MU (2-0) fell behind 7-2 early in the first game, prompting coach Jen Yuhas to use one of her timeouts. The Cougars responded with a 6-1 run to net the score at 8-8. After trading points to tie the score at 10, the Cougars used another 8-2 run, capped by a Kat LaBrie ace, to break the game open.
In the second game, a pair of aces by LaBrie helped the Cougars jump out to a 9-4 lead, but Immaculata (0-3) took advantage of MU errors to close the gap to 10-9. From there, the Cougars rattled off eight straight to extend their lead to 18-9 and cruised to the 25-19 win.
The third game would be the Cougars' greatest test of the match, as they found themselves in an early 10-5 hole. However, a kill by McCullion capped an 11-3 MU run that would give them the lead for good. The Mighty Macs would make a late run on three straight Cougar errors to close the gap to 24-21, but Baro finished things off with a kill to give the Cougars the Sweep.
Alexandra Okoro and Andrea Okoro led Immaculata with six kills each.
The Cougars return to action on Friday when they travel to Catholic (Washington, D.C.) for the CUA Guetle Invitational.
