Box Score Megan Lannigan scored a pair of goals and the Misericordia University women's soccer team used a big second half to defeat Manhattanville, 5-0, Saturday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Alyssa Mocion, Meghan Antrim and Alyssa Manno all added goals for the Cougars while Megan Mahoney, Erin McGreal and Nicolette Ruffler had assists.

Lannigan got the Cougars on the board late in the first half when Mahoney crossed a ball from the right flank and Lannigan one-timed it home 33:50.

Lannigan made it 2-0 early in the second half off a feed from McGreal.  McGreal played a ball from the right wing, Lannigan settled and slotted past a diving Manhattanville goalkeeper inside the right post at 58:45.

Just five minutes later, Ruffler carried the ball from midfield and found Mocion who turned and fired a shot from 20 yards out to make it 3-0.

After several close chances, Meghan Antrim found the back of the net at 75:23.

Antrim collected a loose ball and ripped a shot from 25 yards out inside the left post to make it 4-0.

Manno closed out the scoring with under five minutes to play when she carried the ball through the defense and beat the goalkeeper 1v1 to make it 5-0.

Maureen Ciccosanti made two saves in 80 minutes and combined with Kelly Mott for the shutout.

Misericordia improved to 10-2-1 and 2-0 in the Freedom and will travel to King's, Tuesday night.
