The Misericordia University women's volleyball team beat Arcadia, 3-0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-21), Saturday to record its fourth consecutive sweep.

Shelby Brochetti had 12 kills and Kellyn Swanson added 10 kills and two aces.

Meghan Stack added eight kills and nine digs and senior Nicole Korgeski had seven kills in her final regular season game in the Anderson Center.

Nicole Tagerty added 29 assists.

The Cougars built a 7-1 lead in the opening set, but Arcadia rallied to tie it, 12-12.

Korgeski had a pair of kills from the same spot on the right side and Brochetti followed with a smash from the right to give MU an 18-15 lead.

Leading 22-20, Swanson hit through a block and Brochetti added another hard kill from the right side to make it 24-20.

Tagerty closed out the set with a solo block.

Swanson's ace and two Korgeski kills helped the Cougars take a 4-0 lead in the middle set.

Stack had a kill from the left side and added another cross court kill for an 8-3 lead.

Brochetti had three kills and Korgeski added a dink as part of a 6-0 spurt to stretch the lead to 21-7.

Korgeski hit through two blockers to make it 24-11 and Tagerty again the final point with a kill.

The final set was back-and-forth with two Stack kills eventually giving MU a 19-14 lead.

Both teams took advantage of each other's errors the rest of the way until Swanson ended it with an emphatic kill from the middle.

Korgeski and fellow senior Bridget Fortier were honored as part of Senior Appreciation Day prior to the game.

MU, 12-13, returns to Freedom Conference for a key game at DeSales, Tuesday.
