Beth Karmondy set a pool record to lead the Misericordia University women's swim team to a 174-85 win over Lycoming, Sunday.
Karmondy (4:56.21) set a pool record while winning the 400 IM and
Bree Grzech,
Dani Blass and
Brittany Luzik all won twice.
Grzech won the 100 back (1:02.80) and 50 free (57.78)while Blass took the 200 breaststroke (2:31.12) and led a sweep of the 100 breaststroke (1:09.56).
Luzik led an MU sweep to win the 50 free (25.55) and 100 fly (1:00.06).
Kelly Strahosky (11:42.91) won the 100 free and
Kerri Ciriello (5:43.05) took the 500 free.Â
Dana Hallam (2:05.06) won the 200 free.
Grzech, Blass, Luzik and
Megan DiPalo won the 200 medley relay (1:51.52) while Luzik
Allison Thomas,
Amanda Stammherr and
Aryn Zimmerman won the 200 free relay (1:47.56).
Misericordia improved to 5-2 with its third straight win.
The Cougars will compete in the Diamond City Invitational at the Wilkes-Barre CYC next weekend.
