The Misericordia University women's tennis team just missed out on a sweep of FDU-Florham, defeating the Devils 8-1 one on Saturday afternoon.
 
Cassie Foy, Breanne Phillips, Emily Boro, Emily Gherghel and Emilly Hullings each were double winners on the day for the Cougars, with each earning victories at #2 through #6 singles, respectively. Foy teamed up with Michelle Cameron for an 8-2 win at first doubles while Phillips/Ghergel and Hullings/Boro earned 8-0 victories at second and third doubles.
 
The Cougars' lone loss of the day came at first singles, where Cameron was forced to retire due to injury. Cameron was leading her match 6-1, 1-0 when she suffered the injury.
 
MU (8-6, 1-1 Freedom) returns to action on Tuesday when they host King's at 4:00 PM.
