The Misericordia University women's tennis team advanced to the Freedom Conference championship match for the fifth straight year with a 5-1 win at King's, Wednesday.
Breanne Phillips and
Emily Gherghel were both double-winners for the Cougars.
Phillips won 6-4, 6-0 at third singles and Gherghel won 6-4, 6-2 at number five. The teamed for an 8-3 win at second doubles.
Michelle Cameron added a 6-3, 6-4 win at first singles and
Emily Boro and
Emily Hullings were 8-1 winners at third doubles.
Misericordia will visit Wilkes for the Freedom championship, Saturday.
