Box Score The Misericordia University women's soccer team improved to 6-0 with an 8-1 win at Lycoming, Wednesday.
Alyssa Mocion had two goals and three assists and
Erin McGreal and
Megan Lannigan added two goals each.
Meghan Antrim had a goal and an assist and
Alexandra Irr added an assist and
Jackie Wheatley had two assists.
McGreal opened the scoring 10 minutes into the game on a breakaway goal with an assist from Wheatley.
Lannigan scored twice in a three-minute span on feeds from Mocion to make it 3-0 at 14:19.
McGreal made it 4-0 with an assist from Mocion at 19:16 and Mocion scored twice in a minute to make it 6-0 at 26:48.
Irr and Antrim added second-half goals to make 8-0 before Lycoming got on the board with nine minutes to play.
Maureen Ciccosanti played the first half in goal while
Kelly Mott played the second half.
Misericordia held a 31-3 advantage in shots and had a 17-1 edge in corners.
The Cougars will host defending national champion Messiah in a rematch of last year's national semifinal, Saturday at 1:00 at Mangelsdorf Field.
