The Misericordia University women's soccer team comes into Saturday's afternoon matchup with Messiah at No.7 in the latest NSCAA poll. The Cougars are 6-0 and have outscored opponents by a score of 30-2.

The Falcons come in at No.11 and sit at 5-2 overall.

This is a rematch of the 2012 NCAA Semifinal, which Messiah took, 3-0, en route to the program's fifth national championship.

Misericordia is led by a balanced scoring attack with five different players having registered double-digit point totals through the season's first six games. Erin McGreal tallied a hat trick in the second game of the season against Lebanon Valley and is tied for the team lead in goals (6) and points (14).

Junior transfer Megan Mahoney has also tallied 14 points (3 goals, 8 assists) while junior Megan Lannigan has six goals.

The Cougar defense has been stout, recording four shutouts thus far. Maureen Ciccosanti has won Freedom Conference Goalkeeper of the Week twice in 2013. She has allowed just one goal while stopping 22 shots.

Messiah has scored 12 goals in seven games, while allowing just four. Both Messiah losses were by one goal.

Nikki Elsaesser leads the Falcons in scoring with 15 points. Alicia Frey was an All-American selection a year ago.
