Matt Norcini added a goal for the Cougars while David Stroh scored for King's.

Barry Fitzgerald made two saves to earn the win while Tyler Wilson had four stops in goal for King's.

After a scoreless first half, Stroh took a centering pass from Billy Stroh and fired a shot from 20 yards out to give the Monarchs a 1-0 lead early in the second half.

The Cougars tied it eight minutes later when
Nate Mansfield flicked
Tim Ryan's throw to Norcini who headed it home at 65:59.

Misericordia netted the game-winner when
Dante Ippolito lofted a ball from the right flank off a re-start and vonEgypt got a head on it for a 2-1 lead at 87:31.

King's had the first scoring chance when Brown hit the crossbar from 25 yards out seven minutes into the game.

vonEgypt had three shots in a nine-minute span in the first half, but Wilson was in position for the save each time.

Fitzgerald kept it scoreless on a diving stop to his right on Philip Kistner's header with 11 minutes remaining in the first half.

David Malaquias had a chance for Misericordia late in the half, but his header from 10 feet out went high.

Tied 1-1, the Cougars had two chances to take the lead in the closing minutes.

vonEgypt collected the ball near the left post and ripped a shot from point blank range just wide with 6:30 to play.

Norcini's shot a breakaway was deflected by Wilson and Christopher Edkins' rebound was just wide left with 5:00 to go.

Misericoria improved to 7-3-2 and 1-0 in the Freedom.
