Box Score The Misericordia University women's basketball team fell to #14 University of Scranton, 77-51, in its season opener on Saturday afternoon in the Anderson Center. 

Jaclyn Hajec was the led the Cougars with 13 points and five rebounds while Sam Baro followed with 10 points and six rebounds. Justine Seely added eight points while Shelby Brochetti chipped in with five points. Lauren Smicherko, Nikki Baro and Lena Williams all added four points in the loss. 

Meredith Mesaris led four Lady Royals in double figures with 25 points and four rebounds. Alexix Roman added 12 while Sarah Payonk and Lindsay Fluehr scored 11 points for the University of Scranton. 

The Cougars returns to action Wednesday night at Lebanon Valley at 6:00.
