Box Score The Misericordia University women's basketball team fell to Babson, 77-51, in the opening round of the Williams (MA) Tournament, Friday.

Sam Baro had a team-high 14 points and Justine Seely added eight points and a game-high 16 rebounds and three blocked shots.

Lauren Smicherko had six points and seven rebounds.

Babson opened a double-digit lead, 21-10, midway through the first half, but the Cougars responded to cut the deficit to five.

Seely's layup followed by two free throws from Shelby Brochetti and a Nikki Baro jumper made it 21-16 with 6:45 to play.

The Beavers closed the half on a 19-6 run to take a 40-22 lead at intermission.

MU will play Worcester, Saturday at 1:00.
