The Misericordia University men's soccer team will make its seventh consecutive Freedom Conference championships appearance when the Cougars host King's in the semifinals, Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Mangelsdorf Field.

Misericordia (12-5-2) is seeded second after finishing 6-1 during the Freedom regular season while King's (13-5-1) is seeded third after finishing 5-2 in league play.  Misericordia won the regular season meeting between the two teams, 2-1, a month ago.

King's, the defending Freedom champion, won last year's semifinal meeting at Misericordia in a penalty kick shootout.

Top-seeded Eastern will host FDU-Florham in the other semifinal with the winners meeting in the Freedom championship at the site of the highest remaining seed, Saturday.

Misericordia is led by Nick vonEgypt (5g, 2a) while Rob Wiacek is on a four-game scoring streak.

Barry Fitzgerald has posted seven shutouts and is allowing just 1.02 goals per game.

For King's, Chris Nygren (7g, 8a) and Niall Croke (10g, 2a) are tied for the team scoring lead while Keene Korbin and Daniel Hernandez added six and five goals, respectively.

Tyler Wilson has six shutouts and a 1.29 goals against average for the Monarchs.
