Box Score The Misericordia University women's basketball team fell to seventh-ranked FDU-Florham, 82-54, Saturday afternoon in the Anderson Center.
Katie Drayton led the Cougars with 14 points while
Hannah Seely added 12 points and seven rebounds.
Justine Seely had 10 points and seven rebounds and
Shannon Croasdale had six points and team-high 11 rebounds.
Down 6-3 early, the Cougars ran off 10 straight points to take 13-6 lead seven minutes into the game.
Nikki Baro and
Lauren Oertner made short jumpers to give MU a 7-6 and
Justine Seely's layup made it 9-6.
Drayton and
Sam Baro both made two free throws to cap the run.
Shannon Croasdale's 12-foot jumper put MU up 15-8, but the Devils scored 10 straight points to take an 18-15 lead.
Drayton scored MU's next six points and the Devils led 31-22 with 3:21 to go in the half.
Croasdale's put back made it 31-24, but the Devils closed half on an 8-4 spurt for a 39-28 halftime lead.
After
Hannah Seely scored her first bucket of the game to open the second half, FDU stretched the lead to 18 points and the Cougars never got any closer.
Misericordia, 7-11 (3-5) will host Wilkes, Wednesday at 6:00.
