The Misericordia University women's tennis season came to an end in the Freedom Conference semifinals with a 5-3 loss to King's, Thursday.

MU dropped all three doubles matches, including a tough 9-8 loss at number three by Kiana Gough and Carly Young.

Bridget Boyle, Nellie Chmil and Gough swept the fourth through sixth singles.

Boyle won 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 at number four and Chmil won 6-3, 6-2 at number five.  Gough cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles.

The Cougars finished at 10-9 and had its streak of appearances in the Freedom finals snapped at five.
