Box Score The Misericordia University volleyball team swept Cedar Crest, 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 27-25), Tuesday night in the Anderson Center.

Kellyn Swanson led the Cougars with 10 kills and
Shelby Brochetti added seven kills.

Nicole Tagerty had eight aces and 22 assists while
Paige Shaughnessy and
Meghan Stack added three kills each.

After falling behind 2-1 in the opening set, the Cougars rattled off seven straight points to take a 9-2 lead.

Lexi Giannone's ace made it 15-7 and
Ariana Gagliardi's ace stretched the lead to 19-9.

Tagerty had four aces over the final five points to close out the set, 25-10.

The Cougars led from the start of the middle set with kills from
Annie Stewart and Stack giving MU a 12-4 lead.

Cedar Crest closed to within 17-13 on an ace, but Brochetti answered with a smash from the left side and Swanson followed with a kill from the middle.

Tagerty's ace made it 20-13 and Brochetti hit through two blockers for a 22-13 advantage.

Stewart closed out the set with her second kill.

The finale was tied 14-14 before Swanson's ace ignited a 6-0 run for MU. Brochetti had two kills during the stretch while
Michelle Sehested and
Coleby Charlier both had a kill and a block.

Cedar Crest battled back to take a 24-23 lead on a pair of aces, but Swanson tied it again with a kill into the back right corner and the Cougars went up, 25-24, on a Cedar Crest error after a long rally.

Following an MU attack error, Swanson's smash down the middle put the Cougars back in front, 26-25, and another Cedar Crest error ended the match.
