Box Score The Misericordia University women's volleyball team dropped a hard-fought match at Immaculata, 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-23), Wednesday.

Shelby Brochetti led the Cougars with eight kills and 20 digs and Kellyn Swanson had eight kills, two aces and five digs.

Meghan Stack and Nicole Tagerty both had five kills and Tagerty had 19 assists.

The Cougars grabbed a quick 7-1 lead in the opening set thanks to an ace by Stack and four kills from Brochetti.

The Mighty Macs battled back to take a 12-11 lead and never trailed through the rest of the set.

Immaculata built an 11-4 lead in the middle set and cruised to a 25-16 win.

In the finale, Swanson had an ace and Stack had a pair of kills to ignite a 7-0 run to give MU a 19-10 lead.

Brochetti's kill gave the Cougars a 22-18 lead, but Immaculata responded and eventually took advantage of four consecutive MU attack errors to close out the match.
