Box Score The Misericordia University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-20, decision at DeSales, Tuesday.

Paige Shaughnessy had six kills while Meghan Stack and Kaitlin Wheeler had five kills each.

Nicole Tagerty had 20 assists and 10 digs while Stack and Shaughnessy both had 11 digs.

The Cougars grabbed a quick 3-0 lead in the first set, but the Bulldogs answered with five straight points and used another 5-0 run to take a 12-5 lead.

DeSales closed the set on a 7-0 run.

MU led the first set, 9-7, before DeSales rallied to take 12-10 lead.

DeSales eventually built an 18-12 lead and MU never got closer than six points the rest of the way.

The teams exchanged points throughout much of the third set with MU pulling within 14-13 on kills by Wheeler and Shaughnessy.

DeSales rallied to take a 23-16 lead and held off a late MU charge to win 25-20.

The Cougars fell to 10-17 overall and 4-2 in the MAC Freedom.

MU will host Summit, Goucher and Arcadia, Saturday for their "Dig Pink" game.
