The Misericordia women's soccer team used a four goal second half to surge past Delaware Valley on a chilly Saturday evening at Mangelsdorf Field.

Kristen Murphy,
Devin Simpson and
Kylen Smith found the back of the net for the Cougars.
The Cougars managed 20 shots and several near-miss runs in the first half with their best opportunity coming in the 39
th minute when
Hannah Larkin blasted a shot off the crossbar from inside the box.
MU came out energized in the second half and got on the board early when
Devin Simpson placed a shot from 25 yards out over the outstretched hand of the Del Val goalkeeper in the 48
th minute.
Five minutes later
Ashley Edgell got on the end of a loose ball in the box to make 2-0.
Kylen Smith's low driven shot from the left wing made 3-0 in the 70
th minute.
Delaware Valley got one back in the 83
rd minute, but MU's
Kristen Murphy responded just four minutes later to push the lead back to three goals.
The Cougars won the shooting battle 36-5 and took 11 corners.
With the win, MU moves to 9-2 and will travel to Gettysburg, Wednesday at 5:00.Â
