The Misericordia men's soccer team lost 1-0 in double overtime to DeSales on senior day, Saturday evening at Mangelsdorf Field.

The Cougars had opportunities throughout but just couldn't capitalize.

19 minutes into the game, Colin Snyder played a ball into the box that the DeSales defense had to clear off the line.

10 minutes later, Derek Antonini found himself alone inside the box and ripped a shot, but it went high.

Five minutes into the second half Niko Amity got open on the right side of the box and blasted a shot off the post.

With less than a minute remaining Anthony Ippolito tried to get a shot off but it was blocked by the Bulldog defense.

In the first overtime, Parker McArdle got on a breakaway down the middle of the field and ended up taking a shot from just inside the 18, but it went just wide.

DeSales scored in the 103 minute.

MU outshot DeSales 24-14 and put more shots on goal, 13-4.

The Cougars finish the year at 7-7-2.
