The Misericordia women's soccer team defeated DeSales, 3-1, to lock up the top seed in the MAC Freedom playoffs, Saturday at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Emily Szeflinski, Ashely Edgell and Kailee Crockett each scored a goal in the game.  Alex Gallagher had two assists and Kylen Smith had one.
 
Four minutes into the second half, Szeflinski scored the first goal off a cross from the right wing by Gallagher.
 
In the 65^th minute, Gallagher played another cross from the right wing, this time to the head of Edgell who re-directed it inside the far post.
 
In the 73^rd minute, Smith played a cross in from the left wing which found Kailee Crockett, who ripped a shot into the back of the net.
 
The Cougars outshot the Bulldogs, 21-8, and won the corner battle, 8-3.
 
MU finishes the regular season 15-3-1 and 7-0 in conference.
 
The Cougars will host a MAC Freedom semifinal, Tuesday.
