The 24
th ranked Misericordia University baseball team turned in another dominant offensive performance and the pitching staff was terrific, leading to a 14-0 victory over Lebanon Valley on Monday afternoon in Fort Pierce, FL.

Steve Cuccio made his first start of the season and certainly made the most of it, racking up three hits and driving in three runs.
Mike Comerford continued his early success with two hits and four RBI while
D.J. Navoczynski had two hits and drove in five runs.
Kyle Lindsay added a hit and was hit by three pitches in the victory.

Cory Vogeli was magnificent on the mound, tossing six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out six.
Kyle Rogalski,
Jacob Stone and
Mike Bernet all tossed scoreless innings in relief, securing the shutout.

Comerford got the MU offense on the board with a sacrifice fly to centerfield, allowing a hustling
Chris Boroch to slide in ahead of the throw.

The Cougars really got things going in the fifth. Comerford started the rally with a double over the centerfielder's head while Navoczynski sent a two-run single right back up the middle.
Brian Eshleman and Navoczynski executed the double steal with runners on the corners to cap the rally and give MU the 6-0 lead after three innings of play.

MU broke it open in the fourth when Navoczynski cleared the bases, crushing a three-run double to left-center.

Cuccio added an RBI single in the sixth and then a two-run double in the eighth while Comerford also added an RBI double. Alex Iurato was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to cap the Cougar's big offensive day in a 14-0 win over Lebanon Valley.

The Cougars have now outscored opponents 48-9 in their first three games.

MU returns to action Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. against Susquehanna University.
