The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team ended its season with a 20-9 loss at McDaniel in the opening round of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Regional championship, Wednesday night.
Liz Mulvey led the Cougars with four goals and Allie Elmes and
Erin Baker both scored twice.
Brooke North added a goal and
Melina Juliano had two assists.
Juliano led the Cougars with eight draw controls while Elmes had three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Stephanie Piser had two ground balls and
Taylor Simeone had two caused turnovers.
The Green Terror scored twice in the first 90 seconds, but Mulvey and Elmes scored two minutes apart to tie it, 2-2, four minutes later.
McDaniel went on an 11-2 run over the next 16 minutes to take a 13-3 lead.
North, Elmes and Mulvey scored late in the first half to pull MU within 14-6, but that's as close as the Cougars came.
Misericordia finished 9-10.
