Box Score The Misericordia women's volleyball team dropped its season opener to Immaculata, 3-2 (25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 25-27, 11-15, Tuesday night in the Anderson Center.
Paige Shaugnessy led the Cougars with 13 kills While
Meghan Stack added 11.
Colby Charlier had seven kills and three blocks and
Nicole Tagerty had 35 assists.
The Cougars broke a 14-14 tie in the opener with consecutive kills from
Michelle Sehested,
Megan Collins and Shaugnessy to take a 17-14 lead.
Four Immaculata errors put MU ahead 21-15 and the Cougars closed it out on two more Mighty Mac errors.
In the second set, the Cougars rallied from an 18-12 deficit to tie it, 23-23, but Immaculata scored two straight points for the win.
Stack,
Coleby Charlier and Sehested led a late run as the Cougars broke a 16-16 tie to win the third set, 25-21.
Immaculata rebounded from a late MU rally to win the fourth set and raced out to a 7-1 lead in the decisive set.
