Game Recap: Field Hockey |

LVC Rallies Past MU

The Misericordia field hockey team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 non-conference game to Lebanon Valley on a windy Wednesday afternoon at McGeehan Field.

Lindsay Hischak's shot from the left side deflected off a Lebanon Valley defender and into the cage to give the Cougars the lead just five minutes into the game.

The goal stood through the first half, but the Dutchmen pulled even just six minutes into the second half.

It was back and forth for the next 20 minutes with both teams having scoring opportunities to score.

MU's Kailey Vogl had a shot inside the crease with than eight minutes to play, but the Dutchmen keeper was up to the challenge.

Lebanon Valley scored the game-winner of a rebound in the 63rd minute.

Angela Pasquini made five saves in the game, including a diving save with her foot in the 54th minute with the game still tied.

Hischak's goal moved her to fifth all-time in Misericordia history with 112 career points.

The Cougars are now 2-7 and will host Eastern on Homecoming, Saturday at 11:00 at McGeehan Field.
