The Misericordia University women's soccer team came back to win 2-1 in overtime over Lebanon Valley on cold and windy Wednesday evening at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Alex Gallagher scored both goals for the Cougars with Ashley Edgell providing the game-winning assist with just 25 seconds remaining in the first OT.
 
After falling behind 1-0 in the opening minutes, the Cougars pressed on in the first half, but couldn't finish their opportunities.
 
In the 14th minute, Gallagher played a ball to Edgell who shot wide from inside 12 yards.
 
Two minutes into the second half, Gallagher ripped a shot that LVC keeper Taylor Reinhold deflected off the crossbar.
 
In the 54^th minute, Gallagher got her goal, gathering a loose ball in the box and shooting into an open net to make it 1-1.
 
Just four minutes later Jackie Stevens found herself inside the box with the ball, but her shot sailed high.

Midway through OT, Kylen Smith placed a shot the upper right-hand corner that the Reinhold barely tipped away.
 
With less than 30 seconds left, Edgell played a ball to Gallagher down the right wing and she placed the ball under the keeper for the game-winner.
 
The Cougars outshot the Dutchmen 15-8 and won the corner battle 9-3.
 
The win moves them to 8-2 and they host Delaware Valley to open MAC Freedom play, Saturday at 5:00 at Mangelsdorf Field.
