The Misericordia field hockey team dropped a hard fought decision 3-0 to second-ranked Salisbury, Saturday at Mangelsdorf Field.

Angela Pasquini was solid in goal for Misericordia with 18 saves including stopping a penalty stroke.

Melanie Fry made a great defensive save early on to keep the score 0-0 at the time.

The Cougars best scoring chance came late in the game, off a penalty corner by Suzhaunna Lerch that ended up on the stick of Lindsay Hischak, but the shot went wide.

The tandem of Annah Brittingham and Hannah Miller did the majority of damage with Brittingham scoring twice and Miller assisting both first half goals.

Courtney Jantzen scored early in the second half to push the lead to 3-0 for the Seagulls.

The Cougars, 2-1, return to action, Wednesday, at Alvernia.
