Kyleigh Knell scored a pair of second half goals to lead the Misericordia University field hockey team to a 2-0 win over Wilkes, Thursday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
Colby Eldridge and
Haley Gruber had assists for MU while
Katelyn Campbell had three saves to earn the shutout.
The Cougars won their second straight to finish their MAC Freedom schedule at 3-4.
After a scoreless first half, Knell got the Cougars on the board with a rebound goal 11 minutes into the second half.
Eldridge took a shot from inside the top of the circle that was stopped by Wilkes goalie Dallas Kendra. But, Knell tapped in the rebound near the right post.
Knell added an insurance goal with just over five minutes remaining when she scooped up a rebound off Gruber's shot and scooped it into the empty cage.
Misericordia will conclude its season at Marywood, Saturday at noon.
