The Misericordia University women's soccer team finished an unbeaten regular season in the MAC Freedom with a 5-0 win at Delaware Valley, Saturday.
Alex Gallagher and
Jacqueline Stevens both scored twice in the first half and
Robin Erb added a goal in the second half.
Jeanna Orfanos crossed a ball to Gallagher who placed a shot into the lower left corner to give MU a 1-0 lead at 14:58.
Stevens made it 2-0 less than two minutes later and then found Gallagher who headed home a goal for a 3-0 lead at 22:25.
Stevens closed out the first half scoring with an assist from
Jordyn Powell with 10 minutes remaining in the half.
Erb scored from 20 yards out with 15 minutes remaining.
Misericordia had 36 shots, including 19 on goal, and didn't allow a shot on the day.
Misericordia won for the seventh straight game to improve to 15-3 overall and 7-0 in the MAC Freedom. The Cougars will host a semifinal, Wednesday at 7:00.
