MU Men Hosting Eastern in MAC Freedom Title Match

The Misericordia University men's soccer team will host Eastern in the MAC Freedom championship game, Saturday at 7:00 at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Misericordia, 12-5-2, is the top seed and advanced to the finals with a 3-0 win over DeSales, Wednesday. 
 
Eastern is the defending MAC Freedom champion and is 14-3-2 after a shootout victory over King's, Wednesday.
 
Admission for MAC Freedom championships is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for students.  Children under six-years-old are admitted free.  Pets are prohibited at Misericordia University athletics facilities.
 
MU is led by a balanced scoring attack that includes 10 players with at least two goals.  Chris Edkins leads the team in scoring with 11 points (4g, 3a) while David Malaquias (4g,2a) and Niko Amity added 10 points (3g, 4a).
 
Edkins and fellow senior George Stock were both named first-team All-MAC Freedom.
 
Ethan Aigeldinger (3g, 2a) and Matt Norcini (4g) both had eight points while Dante Ippolito added seven points (1g, 5a) and led the team in assists.
 
Patrick Hoffman has recorded three straight shutouts in goal.
 
Misericordia lost to Eastern, 1-0, on a penalty kick during the regular season.  The Cougars are 5-2 versus Eastern in the post-season.
 
Second-seeded Eastern is led by MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year Cade Harmon (10g, 3a).  Jadon Ramsing (5g, 2a) and goalkeeper Quentin Keibler (0.71 GAA) were both named first-team All-MAC Freedom.
