Lane Kocovsky tied the school single-game record with eight goals to lead the Misericordia University men's lacrosse team to a 17-7 win at Rosemont, Wednesday.
Kocovsky added two assists and Pat Kellish had four goals and three assists.Â
Chris Fleming added three goals and four assists and Phil Fraher had a goal and two assists.
Tied 4-4 after one quarter, the Cougars used big second and third quarters to break the game open.
Kocovsky gave the Cougars the lead for good off a feed from Kellish early in the second quarter. Fleming made it 6-4 less than a minute later.
Following a Rosemont goal, Kocovsky scored twice and assisted on Kellish' goal as the Cougars took a 10-5 halftime lead.
Kellish scored twice in third quarter as the Cougars stretched the lead to 15-5 late in the period.
Kevin Forsyth led MU with six ground balls and Mike Farinaro added five.
Josh Shanker made eight saves to earn the win in goal as the Cougars improved to 5-1.
