The Misericordia University softball team swept Penn College, 10-0, 9-0, in a pair of five-inning games, Tuesday in Williamsport.

Caitlin Kennedy drove in four runs in the opener and
Mackenzie Yurko added three RBI while
Jordan Hoffman picked up the win on the mound.

In the nightcap,
Melanie Quintanilla had two hits and three RBI and
Cailey Ware drove in two runs.

Maddie Stebich scattered five hits to earn the win.

The Cougars struck early in the first game with a six-run first inning. Kennedy forced in the first run with a bases-loaded walk and Ware added an RBI-single before Yurko hit a bases-loaded double.

Kennedy's three-run triple highlighted a four-run second inning to make it 10-0.

The Cougars used a wild pitch and Ware's bases-loaded walk to take a 2-0 lead in the first inning of the second game.

Quintanilla hit a two-run triple in the third to make it 5-0.

Ware and Quintanilla added RBI-singles in a four-run fourth inning.

MU is 16-8 and will host Susquehanna, Thursday.
