The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team opened its MAC Freedom schedule with a 10-5 win at Manhattanville, Saturday.

Chris Fleming had two goals and two assists while
Kyle Reese and
Lane Kocovsky both had two goals and an assist.

Andrew Reynolds scored twice and won 14 of 16 face-offs while
Michael Iglio had a goal and two assists.Â
Brady Jordan had two assists.

Kocovsky had seven ground balls while Reynolds and Reese had six each and Iglio and
John Tierney had five. Tierney added a team-high four caused turnovers.

After Manhattanville opened the scoring at 10:39, Reynolds and Kocovsky scored less than a minute apart to give MU a 2-1 lead with 8:009 left in the first period. Manhattanville tied it, but Kocovsky scored late in the quarter to give the Cougars a 3-2 lead.

Reese and Fleming scored early in the second quarter as the Cougars took a 5-3 halftime lead.

Reynolds, Fleming,
James Wood and Reese all scored in a 4-1 third quarter as Misericordia stretched its lead to 9-4.

Josh Shanker made six saves in goal as MU improved to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in the MAC Freedom.
