Kocovsky scored three goals, including the game-winner with 3:06 to play, to give him 47 goals on the season.

Andrew Reynolds added two goals, two assists, six ground balls and won 11 of 15 face-offs for MU.

Phil Fraher and Nick Kenna both had goals and Josh Shanker made 12 saves as the Cougars avenged their regular season loss to the Bulldogs.

 Pat Newins caused four turnovers.

Kocovsky opened the scoring off an assist from Fraher early in the first quarter and Reynolds scored off a pass from Kyle Reese 30 seconds later.

DeSales got on the board with 1:13 left in the first quarter and took a 3-2 lead with two goals in less than a minute early in the second quarter.

Reynolds scored with help from Kocovsky to pull MU even early in the third period.

With DeSales up 4-3, Fraher tied it with just under four minutes left in the third, but the Bulldogs scored off the ensuing face-off to go back in front, 5-4.

Kocovsky tied the score and Matt Carey's single-season goals record (46) with 1:37 remaining in the third period.

Nick Kenna tallied a man-up goal to MU in front, 6-5, with 9:19 to go in the fourth quarter and the score stood until the Bulldogs scored out of a timeout with 3:11 remaining.

Kocovsky scored his record-setting goal off a face-off win to give MU a 7-6 lead with 3:06 remaining.

MU won its third straight game to improve to 10-6 and will face Eastern in the championship game for the second straight season.
