The Misericordia University women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, 3-1, in a battle of regionally-ranked teams at Arcadia, Saturday.
Kylen Smith scored MU's lone goal on a corner with an assist from Jackie Stevens less than a minute before halftime.
Arcadia took a 1-0 lead with a goal at 3:22 and Smith placed a shot just the under the crossbar to pull the Cougars even.
The Knights went back in front on a penalty kick early in the second half and added an insurance goal with less than a minute to play.
MU held a 15-11 edge in shots and had a 3-1 advantage in corners.
Alyssa Pojero made four saves in goal for MU.
Misericordia, 5-1, will host Elizabethtown, Wednesday.
