Alex Gallagher scored two goals to lead the Misericordia University women's soccer team to a 2-0 win at Lebanon Valley, Wednesday afternoon.
Gallagher scored both goals in the first half as the Cougars improved to 7-2.
Kylen Smith and
Jordyn Martini both added assists while
Alyssa Pojero made three saves to earn the shutout.
Gallagher gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead off an assist from Smith on a corner just 1:28 into the game.
She took a pass from Martini on the right flank and beat the LVC keeper 1-v-1 to make it 2-0 at 40:38.
The Cougars held a 13-4 advantage in shots and had a 5-1 edge in corners.
Misericordia will host King's in their MAC Freedom opener, Saturday at 5:00.
