The Misericordia University women's volleyball team won a hard-fought 3-2 (23-25, 26-24, 25-22, 19-25, 15-13) decision at Immaculata, Tuesday.
Paige Shaughnessy and
Michelle Sehested both had 15 kills to lead the Cougars while
Nicole Tagerty had 39 assists and six aces.
Sehested added 23 digs and three aces and Shaughnessy had 19 digs.
After dropping the first set, 25-23, the Cougars rallied to the next two, 26-24, 25-22.
Immaculata wont he fourth set and MU rallied from a 12-9 deficit in the fifth set to win 15-13.
Trailing 13-11, the Cougars scored four straight points to clinch the win.
Shaughnessy's kill and a block by
Coleby Charlier and
Karley May pulled MU even and Wheeler gave the Cougars a 14-13 lead with an ace.
May followed with a game-winning kill.
