Carroll added a fast break layup and Croasdale hit a short jumper and Carmody closed the period with a layup to give the Cougars a 20-10 lead after one period.

Eastern cut the lead to 27-21 late in the second quarter, but the Cougars responded with a 10-2 run over the final three minutes.

Seely started the runs with a layup and Carroll and Liz Waleski hit back-to-back three-pointers to make it 33-21.

Croasdale and Carroll both had layups in the final half-minute to take a 37-23 halftime lead.

The Cougars maintained a double-digit lead for much of the second half until the Eagles used an 11-4 spurt to get within 66-63 with 1:11 to play.

Paige Wampole answered with a crucial layup with a minute to go and Carroll and Waleski both sank a pair of free throws to clinch the win.
