The Misericordia men's basketball team cruised to victory against FDU-Florham, 101-75, Saturday afternoon at the Anderson Center.

Jason Kenny had 21 points while Tony Harding had 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Tre Fields had 13 points, four assists and two blocks.  Noah Rivera had 13 points and a season-high 18 rebounds off the bench. James Hawk had 11 points, six rebounds and five blocks and Griffin Sponaugle had 12 points.

After a scoreless first minute, Kenny opened the scoring with a three. The Devils scored on a jumper and then Sponaugle converted a jumper of his own off a pass from Fields. FDU-Florham drilled a three to tie things up at five.

The teams traded buckets on the next several possessions before Hawk came crashing down the lane and Fields hit him in stride to make it 11-9 MU. The next offensive possession, Hawk lobbed the ball over Harding's defender for to Harding for an easy layup. After forcing a Devils miss, Fields snagged the rebound and went the length of the floor and scored to make it 15-9 MU with 14:08 to go.

The Devils split a pair of foul shots, Rivera scored in the paint and Fields found Mike Brunson on the right wing for three. After an FDU-Florham score, Harding scored in the paint and Brunson drilled a three in front of the visitor bench. Kenny scored in transition to push the Misericordia lead to 27-12 with 10:12 to go.

The Devils wouldn't go away, and a layup in traffic cut the Misericordia lead to ten at 34-23, with 4:24 to go in the quarter. MU proceeded to go on a 13-0 run over the next three minutes. Kenny nailed a three off a pass from Rivera, Harding made two foul shots and Hawk scored inside with a lefty hook shot. Fields drained a deep three on the right wing off feed from Sponaugle to cap the run and make it 47-24 Misericordia. FDU-Florham scored the final five points off the half to make it 47-29 at halftime.

FDU-Florham didn't quit, and they cut the lead to 14, 73-59, with 7:23 left in the game. Sponaugle scored on a running layup from the right side and Brendan Leonard scored in transition to push the lead back up to 18. The Devils didn't threaten the rest of the way.

Misericordia moves to 14-5 on the year, 5-3 in the MAC Freedom. The Cougars will host Eastern, Wednesday at 8:00.
