Melanie Fry added a goal as the Cougars won their third straight game to improve to 3-1 in the MAC Freedom.
Katelyn Campbell made two saves in goal to earn the shutout.
Granoski gave the Cougars the lead with a rebound goal with less than five minutes remaining in the first half.
Knell made it 2-0 on a deflection from Granoski with just over 10 minutes remaining in the game.
Fry added an insurance goal when she knocked in a loose ball with five minutes to play.
MU held a 14-2 advantage in shots, including 11-2 in shots on goal.
The Cougars had an 11-6 advantage in corners.
MU will host Eastern, Wednesday at 4:00.
