The Misericordia University field hockey team lost a heartbreaking 4-3 overtime game to Susquehanna, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Madisyn Granoski and
Tori Carsley all scored for the Cougars while
Haley Gruber added an assist.

Katleyn Campbell made five saves in goal.

The teams traded goals throughout the contest until Susquehanna was able to score 10 minutes into overtime to end MU's two-game win streak.

Misericordia took an early lead when
Colby Eldridge hit the back of the cage on the Cougars first shot of the night nearly eight minutes into the game.

The River Hawks tied the game with 13 minutes left in the first half when they scored off a rebound.

The Cougars had two penalty corners with 0:00 on the clock to close out the first half, but were unable to capitalize.

The River Hawks struck first in the second half with a quick goal two minutes into the half.

The Cougars answered back when
Madisyn Granoski defelected a shot off the right post off assist from Gruber.

With the score knotted at 2-2, Susquehanna score off another rebound from a defensive save by
Jenna Whitman.

Carsley tied the game up with 9:47 left in the second half.

Katelyn Campbell made a gutsy move six minutes into overtime by coming out of goal to stop a Susquehanna's 2-on-1.

Susquehanna netted the game-winning goal with 4:49 left in OT.
