The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team came back and beat Marywood, 10-8, at Pacer Field Monday afternoon.
Lexee Willey scored four goals,
Olivia Garcia had a goal and three assists while
Liz Mulvey scored twice.
Kaila Quinlivan had a goal, an assist and six draw controls.
Ashley Hobbs and
Amy Roth each tallied one goal and
Amanda Rackliff picked up five ground balls.
Katie McLoughlin had nine saves in net for MU.
Garcia found Mulvey for the opening goal of the game a minute and ten seconds into the game to stake MU to an early 1-0 lead.
Over the next ten minutes the Pacers breached the MU defense twice while Quinlivan scored one for the Cougars, so the score was 2-2 with 19 minutes to go in the half.
Neither team scored over the next 12 minutes, but the closing seven minutes saw both teams score in bunches.
Willey, Hobbs, and Mulvey all scored for MU but the Pacers scored four to take a 6-5 lead into halftime.
Quinlivan fed Roth to tie things at 6-6 and Garcia scored 51 seconds later as Misericordia grabbed the lead back in the opening two minutes of the second half.
The Pacers scored the next goal to tie it at 7-7 with around 25 minutes left in the game.
Willey scored the next three goals of the game over a nine minute period to give MU a 10-7 lead.
Marywood scored to make it 10-8 with just over 10 minutes left in the game, but they didn't score again.
Misericordia will host Hood, next Wednesday at 4:00.
