The Misericordia softball team dropped two games to Arcadia, Monday afternoon at Anderson Field.

MU lost game one 9-5 in six innings and game two 9-5.

In game one, Victoria Schmidt was 1-1 with a two-run homer. Abby Marzzacco went 2-3.

Arcadia scored two runs in the first and second innings as they took a 4-0 lead through two innings. They scored one more in the third and then three more in the fourth to push their lead to eight.

In the bottom of the fifth, after the first batter was retired, Taylor Kenerson drew a walk. Schmidt came in and smashed a two-run homer over the left field fence to make it 8-2.

The Knights scored two more runs in the top of the sixth to make it 10-2. Alexis D'Amico ended with a fine throw from left. Arcadia singled through the left side, and had a runner on second who tried to score. D'Amico made a pinpoint throw home and Lori Brennan applied the tag to end the inning.

In game two, Brennan went 2-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Kenerson was 3-3 with two runs scored and D'Amico was 2-4 with a RBI and two runs scored.

Arcadia scored via a triple in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead.

In the bottom of the fourth, Brennan grounded out to the shortstop which allowed D'Amico to score from third to tie the score at 1-1.

The Knights exploded for six runs in the top of the fifth to retake the lead at 7-1. MU got out of the inning on another nice throw. Arcadia blasted a double to right which scored the runners on first and second. Kenerson took the throw from Marzzacco and rifled it to Yurko to get the runner out at third.  

MU scored twice in the bottom of the fifth. Kenerson led off with an infield single and Mackenzie Yurko reached on fielder's choice. Two batters later Schmidt singled through the left side to score Kenerson and put Yurko at third. D'Amico slapped a single through the right side to score Yurko and make it 7-3.

MU scored again in the bottom of the sixth. Kenerson had another infield hit, this time with two outs. Yurko smashed a ball into center that the center-fielder dropped. Kenerson scored from second to make it 7-4.

Arcadia plated two more runs in the top of the seventh to make it 9-4.

Brennan doubled to score D'Amico in the bottom of the 7^th to complete the scoring at 9-5.

MU is now 11-15 and will host SUNY Cobleskill, Tuesday at 3:30.
