MU Women's Lax Falls in ECAC Final

The Misericordia University women's lacrosse season came to an end with an 11-3 loss to Marymount in the ECAC championship game, Sunday at Stockton University.

Marymount opened the second half with four straight goals to build on their 4-2 halftime lead.

Kaila Quinlivan had a goal and an assist to lead the Cougars while Kate Raab and Lexee Willey both scored goals.  Quinlivan added five draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Amanda Rackliff had a team-high five ground balls and Quinlivan, Willey, Olivia Garcia and Bri Ladner all added three ground balls.

Katie McLoughlin had eight saves in goal.

Willey, Quinlivan and Garcia were named to the All-Tournament team.

Marymount took an early lead with a man-up goal less than two minutes into the game.

Quinlivan tied it with an unassisted goal three minutes later and Willey gave Misericordia a 2-1 lead with a feed from Quinlivan midway through the first half.

Marymount scored three times over the final 10 minutes of the half to take a 4-2 halftime lead.

Raab scored MU's lone goal of the second half with 12:16 to play, but the Saints again scored three goals over the final 10 minutes for the final 11-3 margin.

Misericordia set a school record for wins in a season with a 14-4 record.
