Jordyn Powell scored her first goal of the season in the 81^st minute as the Misericordia University women's soccer team salvaged a 1-1 tie with Lebanon Valley, Wednesday Night at Mangelsdorf Field. The Cougars are now 4-0-2 this season while the Flying Dutchmen are 2-0-2.

Alex Gallagher served a ball from near the end line and Powell's volley found the upper right corner for the tying goal.

Misericordia was in control for most of the game, outshooting Lebanon Valley 20-13, and had a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Early in the game, Gallagher had a scoring opportunity, gathering the ball in the box and firing a shot, but it was right at the LVC goalkeeper.

Powell had a chance to give the Cougars the lead in the 37^th minute, but her shot from outside the box hit the crossbar.

MU's defense was stout in the first half, allowing just one shot to make sure it remained scoreless at halftime.

Lebanon Valley came out strong after the break, taking the lead just two minutes into the second half.

The Cougars kept trying to find the equalizing goal, and finally, on their 13^th shot of the night.

The Flying Dutchmen took three shots in the final 10 minutes of regulation, but all were off target.

In the first overtime, Misericordia had a couple of chances to win the game, earning two corner kicks, but were unable to capitalize.

With just over two minutes left in the first overtime, Alyssa Pojero made her biggest of her five saves on the night, sprinting off her line and turning away a shot from a Dutchmen player on a breakaway.

The second overtime saw just three total shots with none finding the back of the net.

Misericordia will host Arcadia, Saturday at 6 p.m.
