The Misericordia University field hockey team dropped its MAC Freedom opener, 3-1, to FDU-Florham, Saturday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.
Colby Eldridge gave Misericordia an early lead, but the Devils rallied for three second-half tallies.
Eldridge scored her fourth goal of the season with just under nine minutes to go in the first half to give the Cougars the lead. After corralling the ball off a shot by
Kyleigh Knell, Eldridge was able to sneak the rebound past the goalkeeper.
In the second half, FDU-Florham tied the game 12 minutes into the half and went ahead six minutes later.
FDU's Makayla Pak completed her hat trick to ice the game for FDU with six minutes left in the contest.
Katelyn Campbell made 12 saves in goal for the Cougars.
Misericordia will host Haverford in a non-conference game, Wednesday at 7:00.
