Stevenson scored three touchdowns in a four-minute span in the second and third quarters to break open a close game on the way to a 65-7 win over Misericordia University, Saturday afternoon.

MU trailed just 17-7 late in the first half before the Mustangs closed the half with a field goal and a touchdown in the final 3:47 to take a 27-7 lead.

The Mustangs opened the third quarter with two TD's in the first three minutes to open a 41-7 lead.

Clayton Vleck led the Cougars with 42 yards rushing while
Brady Williams had 27 yards and a touchdown.

Isaiah Williams had four catches for 65 yards and
James Jackson had six receptions for 40 yards.

Brady Williams was 14-30 for 162 yards passing.

Tyler Collins had seven tackles for the Cougars while
Jordan Aquino and Steve Cushing both added six.Â

The Cougars took the opening kickoff and put together a 66-yard drive. Their chance to take an early lead was thwarted when the drive stalled deep in Stevenson territory.

Jackson had an 11-yard reception on first down and I. Williams had a seven-yard catch on the next play. Vleck picked up yards on his first carry of the day to move MU to near midfield.

Isaiah Williams had a 23-yard catch to the Stevenson 25 yard line. Vleck and
Brady Williams combined for 10 yards on three carries for another first down at the 11. The drive stalled at the eight and the Cougars' 25-yard field goal attempt was wide right.

Stevenson answered with a 58-yard drive that ended in a 39-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead with 6:15 left in the first quarter.

MU went three-and-out on its next possession and Stevenson marched 59 yards to take a 10-0 lead with 2:17 to go in the first quarter.

Misericordia answered with another lengthy drive.

Starting at their own 34 yard line,
Mark Rainey picked up 14 yards on second down to the Stevenson 48. Rainey followed with a 20-yard reception and
Brady Williams connected with
Isaiah Williams for 25 yards to the three yard line.

B. Williams went in for the score on third-and-two and
Matt Dinnocenti's extra point pulled MU within 10-7 early in the second quarter.
