The Misericordia University women's soccer team opened MAC Freedom play with a convincing 2-0 win at King's, Saturday.
Jordyn Martin and
Jackie Stevens both scored for the Cougars and the MU defense allowed just one shot.
Martini gave MU the lead on a penalty kick late in the first half and Stevens added an insurance goal in the 57
th minute.
Stevens had six of MU's 26 shots while
Hannah Larkin added five shots, including two on goal. The Cougars had 10 shots on goal and earned the only four corners of the game.
The Cougars are 7-2-2 and will host Brockport, Wednesday at 4:00.
