The Misericordia University football team remained undefeated in the MAC with a 25-21 come-from-behind win at Lebanon Valley, Saturday afternoon.
Isaiah Williams had 10 catches for 182 yards, including the game-winning touchdown with 1:16 to play.
Brady Williams ran for a score and threw for 295 yards and two TD's as the Cougars won their fifth straight game to improve to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the MAC.
Isiah Solomon added a touchdown reception and
Matt Dinnocenti kicked a 31-yard field goal.
Trailing 21-10 entering the fourth quarter, the Cougars scored twice and added a two-point conversion.
Down 21-18, the Cougars forced a punt and took over at their own 15 with 4:36 to play.
Brady Williams rushed for 12 yards on first down and a personal foul on Leb Val moved the ball to MU 45.
Facing third-and-11, Williams hit
Josh Dieter for a 21-yard gain to the Leb Val 35.
After converting a third-and-three for a first down at the Dutchmen 25, B. Williams hit I. Williams at the five where he broke three tackles to go in for the winning score.
MU set up the winning drive with another scoring drive early in the fourth period.Â
Nick Yeager forced a fumble on a Leb Val punt return and
Abdul Beasley recovered at the MU 46.
A holding penalty backed the Cougars up, but a personal foul penalty on LVC moved the ball near midfield. The Williamses connected for 44 yards to the LVC five on the first play of the fourth quarter.
Solomon scored on second down and
Brady Williams added the two-point conversion to get within 21-18 with 14:06 to play.
Lebanon Valley took a quick 7-0 lead with four-play drive in less than two minutes to open the game.
Sam Gillison had two catches for 44 yards on MU's first possession which ended with Dinnocenti's 31-yard field goal midway through the first quarter.
The Cougars blocked a Leb Val field goal attempt to take over at their own 26 with 6:15 left in the second quarter.
Isaiah Williams 29-yard reception gave the Cougars a first down in LVC territory and his 41 catch-and-run set a first-and-goal at the two.
Brady Williams scored on first down to give the Cougars a 10-7 lead.
Lebanon Valley used a 14-play, 70-yard drive that used 7:18 of the third quarter to take a 14-10 lead.
The Dutchmen forced an MU fumble and returned to the Cougars' 13-yard line where they took just two plays to stretch their lead to 21-10.
Garrett Murray intercepted a pass inside the five-yard line with 15 seconds left to secure the win.
Nick Yeager had a team-high 10 tackles and forced a fumble while Murray had seven stops.
The Cougars will host FDU-Florham, Saturday at 1:00.
